Surveyor

Key Responsibilities

• Measure correct distances and elevations, marking and labelling survey points with the use of optical instruments including total stations, levels and a GPS system.
• Perform Topographic surveys, for contract drawings.
• Able to coordinate and communicate with drafts people to ensure accuracy on contract drawings.
• Tie in key points of structures, including watermains, sewers, building foundations, utilities, and other structures for “As-Builts”
• Develops new data from photogrammetric records.
• Determines methods and procedures for establishing or re-establishing survey control.
• Keep accurate notes, records, and sketches to describe and certify work performed.
• Coordinate findings with work of engineering and architectural personnel, clients, and others concerned with project.

Qualifications

• Post Secondary Education Civil Engineering, Survey Technology or all other equivalent training.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in topographic elevations and running a total station instrument
• Experience in engineering consulting will be considered an asset
• Good initiative, attention to details.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication
