Senior Environmental Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Provide consulting services in environmental/geological engineering and related disciplines on projects undertaken by GENIVAR
• Provide support for team, including senior staff, in the management of a wide variety of environmental projects
• Provide support to deliver successful outcomes on projects that include: Phase I, II, and III environmental site assessments and remediation of contaminates sites, hydrogeological investigation and water quality studies and containment and management of groundwater at contaminated sites
• Preparation of proposals, project organization and administration, responsibility for the implementation and technical accuracy of projects, and for timely completion of projects within the budgetary requirements
• Coordinate all necessary budget information, staff resources, health and safety plans, and any other requirements as needed for the project
• Provide oversight and direction of junior staff, oversee and assist technical staff in the completion of project specific tasks
• Actively market the services of the Company
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• B.A.Sc. or M.Sc. in Geological Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
• Must hold a valid P.Eng. designation
• Minimum 10 years of previous experience
• The preferred candidate will be self-motivated, energetic and well organized, with a proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal & written skills are required
• Experience in engineering consulting will be considered an asset
• Experience with client relationships are a strong asset
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
