Senior Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the design of plans, preliminary estimations and details with the use of the guidelines for the projects
• Establish design calculations and ensure plans correspond to the guidelines, the code prescriptions and other regulations.
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients in order to define their needs, explain technical information, concepts or study results.
• Produce statements of quantities and prepare budget assessment.
• Verify and complete request for proposals, estimates and other technical documents.
• Supervise the work of Technicians and Draftspersons appointed to the project.
• Assist the project manager when help is needed.
• Perform all other related tasks that will help complete the project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or all other equivalent training.
• 10 years or more of relevant experience 
• Experience in boiler/steamer/power generation
• Hold an P.Eng license or eligible to obtain one
• Experience in engineering consulting will be considered an asset
• Good initiative, attention to details.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
